The University of Glasgow Settlement has pioneered innovative responses to changing social needs for over one hundred years.
The University of Glasgow Settlement Exhibition shares the story of the legacy of the Settlement and its links to student social action. From its foundation in 1897 as the Queen Margaret College Settlement, to its current ‘Find a Solution’ internships, the Settlement hopes to use its history to inspire future social action.
The University of Glasgow Settlement has helped many local charities through its annual Find a Solution (FAS) programme which harness the knowledge base of the University by recruiting students to help find innovative solutions to problems. In 2018, FAS projects are taking place with Indepen-Dance, Concrete Garden and JustRight Scotland.
