For over one hundred years the University of Glasgow Settlement has pioneered innovative responses to changing social needs.
The University of Glasgow Settlement has helped many local charities through its annual Find a Solution (FAS) programme which harness the knowledge base of the University by recruiting students to help find innovative solutions to problems.
The following organisations will be assisted to Find a Solution by teams of 2 students during the summer of 2017:
- Lambhill Stables: An analysis of the needs of the area using demographic statistics and other data.
- Indepen-Dance: An analysis of the impact of participation as a tool for developing future strategy
- St Paul’s Youth Forum: A business plan for a “city farm”.
In addition, 2 students from the School of Computing Science will assist Kingsway Health and Wellbeing to stream line their IT structure.
The selected students, supported by an academic mentor, will present their research in the University of Glasgow Memorial Chapel on Thursday 31 August at 12.00 (tbc). If you wish to attend please contact the University of Glasgow Settlement at uogsettlement@ gmail.com
Organisations interested in submitting a project for 2018 should send an expression of interest to email@example.com
